Air India is the flag carrier airline of India and also the third largest in India in terms of passengers carried (after IndiGo & Jet Airways). It is owned by Air India Limited, a Government of India enterprise and manages a fleet of Airbus & Boeing aircraft serving 84 domestic & international destinations. The airline is headquartered in New Delhi.
Air India has its main hub at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi and the secondary hub at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai. Air India became the 27th member of the Star Alliance on 11th July 2014. It also recruits staff every year for the Air India Vacancy.

Air India also operates flights over Domestic and Asian destinations through its subsidiaries – Air India Regional & Air India Express. It uses the Airbus A320 family & Boeing 787 aircraft for a selected domestic number of routes while the long distance service uses the Boeing 777 – 300ER, 747 & 787 aircraft. Air India’s mascot is the Maharajah or the Emperor and it’s logo consists of a flying Swan with the wheel of Konark within it.
