About SSC KKR –

The Staff Selection Commission KARNATAKA-KERALA Region (SSC KKR) is functioning under the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India. Initially, it was known as the Subordinate Services Commission and was set up on 1st July 1976. It was primarily established to make recruitments on zonal basis for the non-technical Group C posts under the Central Government. It wasn’t responsible for the posts whose recruitment was done by the Railway Service Commission and the industrial establishments.

Functions of the Staff Selection Commission have been additionally widened and now it also carries out the recruitment for Group B and Group C posts under the Central Government. The Commission, therefore, recruits the majority of the workforce for the Central Government, including the Central Para-Military Forces.

Eligibility Criteria for the SSC KKR Recruitment –

  • Educational Qualification :

For Office Superintendent Post

Bachelor’s Degree

From a recognised University

Possessing two years’ experience in Administration, Accounts and Budget matters

For Technical Clerk Post

Senior Secondary School pass

From recognised Board or University

For Section Officer Post

B.Sc. in Agriculture or Botany or Horticulture

From a recognised University or Institute;

Possessing two years experience in Horticulture including ornamental gardening in any Government Department /Autonomous /statutory body /PSU /in any company incorporated under companies Act, 2013 /listed under the stock exchange


M.Sc. in Agriculture ith specialisation in Horticulture

With specialisation in Horticulture


M.Sc., in landscape architecture or floriculture

From a recognised university or Institute

  • Nationality :


  • Age Limit : 

Office Superintendent and Section Officer : 

30 Years of age

Technical Clerk :

Candidates age should not be less than 18 years of age and should not be more than 27 years
